humor only a biologist could love

The Mathematics of Philosophy

I am immensely proud of the alt text for this one.

Anyway, Ayn Rand is a silly face for making the union of physics (applied math) and philosophy a big shocker. They’re, like, totally super connected you guys. (Reading Joseph Mazur’s ‘The Motion Paradox’ right now, which starts with the days when most math was philosophy–a.k.a. hokum–and allegedly will go into quantum mechanics. I love the quanta. It’s like binge drinking, but free and there’s no hangover once you forget about it.)

I had no reference for the SLR. If you would like to change this sad facet of my life, I love you.
